Mbappe reveals what he told Messi after World Cup finals

Mbappe scored a hat-trick during the final match against Argentina and picked up the golden boot during the tournament held in the oil rich-Qatar

Paris Saint Germain striker, Kylian Mbappe, has finally disclosed what he said to Argentina captain and club mate, Lionel Messi, after the final game of the 2022 FIFA played on December 18. 

Mbappe scored a hat-trick during the final game against Argentina and picked up the golden boot during the tournament held in the oil rich-Qatar. 

His three goals, however, were not enough to stop Argentina who defeated France 4-2 in a penalty shoot-out, following a 3-3 draw after 120 minutes.

After the very explosive and scintillating match, Mbappe was seen talking to Messi on the pitch at the Lusail Stadium.

Speaking on Wednesday, December 28, after PSG edged 2-1 past 19th-placed Strasbourg in a French Ligue 1 tie, Mbappe revealed he only congratulated Messi after Argentina won the World Cup after 36 years. 

He told TyC Sports, “I spoke with Messi after the game, I congratulated him. 

“It was important for him, for me too, but I lost, and you have to show maturity to congratulate [the other team].”
