Manchester United and Manchester City are to play their FA Cup quarterfinals away.
In the FA Cup quarterfinals draw released yesterday, Manchester United will travel to the King Power Stadium to face another Premiership side, Leicester City, while the blue side of Manchester (Man City) is off to Everton.
At least one non-traditional power will get to the FA Cup semifinal this year, as the FA Cup draw put together a new South Coast derby in the quarterfinal round.
Bournemouth and Southampton were drawn together with just fifth-round match left to be played between Chelsea and Barnsley.
The Bournemouth – Southampton match will be played at the Vitality Stadium, about 30 miles away from St. Mary’s.
Finally, Sheffield United will head to either Chelsea or Barnsley, though the Blades will likely not expect to visit anywhere but the former at Stamford Bridge.
Matches will be played the weekend of March 20, with the semifinals a month later and the final on May 15.
