Manchester United drew against Everton in a game played at Old Trafford, the home ground of the red half of Manchester in an early kick off Premier League game.
The home side left a lot of their influential players on the bench, following their Champions league win against Spanish side Villarreal midweek.
United dominated ball possession and had a sizable attempts on target in the half, but Everton were a constant threat going forward too.
The game remained without a goal until 43th minutes when Anthony Martial, put the home
side ahead, after his shot was deflected past Everton goalkeeper to end the first 1-0 in favour of United.
Everton came into the second half with renewed vigour, and duly rewarded with a goal in the 65th minutes when Andros Townsend scored from an assist from Abdoulaye Doucouré.
Another Everton’s goal was cancelled on the 85th minutes when Yerry Mina’s goal was ruled offside after VAR corrected the initial goal given by the referee.
The home side were unable to go ahead despite the additional 4 minutes added at the end of the game. The result means both teams stayed below Liverpool on the premier League table.
