Jibrin Sawuta, a man who lives in  Kafancha, has sued a middle-aged woman, Hassana Yohanna, to an Upper Customary Court in Kafanchan, Kaduna State for publicly labelling him impotent and mocking him as childless.

Yohanna was docked on three counts of intentional insult, defamation, and criminal intimidation.

The offence contravenes Sections 312, 371 and 376 of the Kaduna State Penal Code Law.

In a criminal complaint filed before the court, Sawuta alleged he was chatting with friends on the premises of the village head of Fadan Kagoma when he received information that his brother was arrested by the police.

He recounted that on getting to the police station, Yohanna emerged from nowhere and started hurling insults at him, saying he is impotent and had no child.

He said Yohanna thereafter rushed to embrace him.

The defendant pleaded not guilty when the charge was read and pleaded to be granted bail.

Judge George Gwani granted her bail in the sum of N30,000 and one surety who must be a district head in the jurisdiction of the court.

The case was adjourned until June 19 to enable Sawuta present witnesses to prove his case, according to Vanguard.

In another case related to the male organ, a woman aged 27 was arrested by the police in November 2022 for allegedly stabbing to death her husband for attempting to have sex with her at their reunion after three months of separation.

Odunayo allegedly murdered Olamilekan Salahudeen, 35, at their residence in Oko Oba, Oyo town, Oyo State.

Police paraded her alongside 25 other suspects arrested for various crimes, saying Odunayo, who had just reconciled with her husband, murdered him for trying to sleep with her.

“On November 17, 2022, one Ismaila Tijani reported at the Durbar divisional police headquarters that on November 16, 2022, his son, Olamilekan Salaideen, 35, was stabbed to death by his wife, Odunayo,” said Police Public Relations Officer Adewale Osifeso, a Superintendent.

Osifeso spoke when he conducted the parade at the Oyo Police Headquarters in Eleyele, Ibadan.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased and his wife returned to their home at Oko Oba, Oyo town, on the day of the incident after three months of separation.

“The deceased made a move to have sexual intercourse with his wife but was rejected.

“This further led into a struggle and the deceased collected his wife’s phone and smashed it on the ground. In retaliation, the wife stabbed the deceased’s chest, leading to his death.”
