Bukayo Saka is key to Arsenals’ future ambitions, they will be expected to fend off Man City at least for this season

Arsenals’ pursuit of Man Citys’ striker, Gabriel Jesus is an open secret but nobody predicted The Citizens’ audacious move for arguably the brightest talent in The Gunners’ squad, Bukayo Saka.
According to Daily Mail, the Premier League champions are now closely monitoring Saka’s situation at the Emirates, as he heads into the final two years of his contract.
City are not alone in this quest. FA champions Liverpool, are also reported to have earmarked the 20-year-old as a future target.
And though it is believed that Arsenal have the upper hand and a move away from the Emirate is highly unlikely this summer, the Etihad club have begun showing increased interest in the academy graduate.

Saka’s current deal includes an option of one more year which will take his commitment to Arsenal up to 2024 should the Gunners, as expected, activate it.
Securing the England international on a new and improved contract that reflects his rise in status for club and country was one of Arsenal’s priorities this summer.
The Gunners began a rebuilding process under Mikel Arteta focusing on recruiting young players who are expected to develop together and challenge for honours in the future.
Saka is an integral part of their ambition, it is therefore expected that they will put up a fight to retain one of the best young players in the Premier League.
