Premier League champions, Manchester City have decided to pull out of the race to sign England international and West Ham captain, Declan Rice.

This was made known by Italian journalist and football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano via his social media page on Wednesday.

According to him, the reigning Champions League holders are not interested in entering a bidding war for Rice with north London club, Arsenal.

TheNiche had earlier reported that the Gunners on Tuesday night submitted a third bid for the Hammer’s captain.

This follows a club-record £90m bid comprising a £75m fee and £15m in add-ons and an earlier opening offer thought to be worth £80m plus add-ons which were both turned down by the West Ham

However, Taking to his Twitter Handle, Romano claimed Man City who had earlier sent in a bid worth £90m have pulled out of the deal to sign the Three Lions midfielder after the latest Arsenal bid.

He tweeted: “Manchester City to leave Declan Rice as internal discussion took place today — after Arsenal record bid submitted on Tuesday.

“City have no intention to enter into a bidding war, as always. No plans to match £105m proposal.

“Over to Arsenal and West Ham now,”

Man City had on Monday night offered £80m up front plus £10m in add-ons for the England midfielder but the bid fell short of the Hammers’ evaluation.
