Mama Africa ready to premiere

Mama Africa, a film produced by Norbert Ajaegbu and directed by Ubaka Joseph Ugochukwu, will premiere on May 4 at The Filmhouse Cinemas in the Surulere area of Lagos State.

Starring Tonto Dikeh, Frank Artus, Chigozie Atuanya, Zack Orji, Jibola Dabo, Belinda Effah and a host of others, the film is an expose based on what obtains in the corridors of power. Highly adventurous and intriguing, it focuses on how the ruling minority controls the lives of the masses, trampling even on their rights at will.

“Over 500 children die as a result of a fake vaccine, the poor and needy are locked up in a military detention camp without any hope of food or freedom, while the wealthy embezzle the collective resources,” the producer said.

The poor and needy rot away in poverty – no food, no drugs, no education, no hope – until Nathan, a courageous rights activist, steps into the picture, giving up his life, family and freedom all in a bid to save his motherland.

Ajaegbu is the current chairman of the Lagos chapter of the Film and Video Producers and Marketers Association (FVPMA) as well as its national spokesman. He is the chief executive of Ocean Movies and Music Studios, with over 40 movies to its credit. Among his credentials are a scriptwriting and production certificate from Deustche Welle Training Institute, Germany, and an Accountancy degree and master’s degree in Business Administration.
