Mali beat the Super Eagles of Nigeria 2-0 in an friendly match played in Marrakech, Morocco, on Tuesday night.
Nigeria suffered the loss in the intriguing encounter courtesy of one goal in each half of the game.
The Eagles of Mali opened the scoring as early as the 18th minute through
El Bilal Toure.
The Atalanta star capitalized on Chidozie Awaziem’s blunder to put Mali ahead from close range in the first half.

Subsequently, Moses Simon and Cyriel Dessers both had chances to get Nigeria level but could not convert their opportunities.
Kamory Doumbia, however, sealed the victory for the Malians with an 84th-minute strike from the centre of the box.
This loss was the interim coach, George Finidi’s first loss at the helms of affairs following the expiration of Jose Peseiro’s contract.
Finidi won his first game in charge, a friendly on Friday, against the Black Stars of Ghana.
Following his side’s 2-1 defeat to Nigeria during the international friendly game, Ghana national team head coach, Otto Addo, says the Black Stars were unlucky against the Super Eagles.
