Male Housemates welcome females with pranks.

The 90 million price money up for grab in this year’s Big Brother Nigeria reality show did not only surpass that of the previous edition, the number of contestants vying for the lucrative largess has also increased. First day commenced with the host, Ebuka, ushering in eleven multitalented male contestants from diverse backgrounds into house. The next day saw a similar pattern with the anchor introducing another eleven talented female challengers.

As the ladies where being ushered in, they met a deafening silence in the house rather than an arousing welcome they were used to. Their male counterpart, who had spent the night in the house, played a fast one on them by acting as if Big Brother left a word that they must all remain quiet as they walk in. The ladies later discovered it was a prank and were obviously unimpressed.  

Angel Agnes Smith, who wished to be addressed as, Angel, was the first to be introduced to the passionate audience who could not wait to meet the female contestants. Angel is a 21- year-old writer and poet, whose dad is from Akwa Ibom and the mum from Ghana. She claimed she dropped out of school twice and believe the show will help her find her purpose in film production.

Jackie Bent, Known as, Jackie B, is a proud single mum of a 10 year old son. The 29- year-old is an interior designer and certified event and wedding planner, who went to university in the UK, she is single and ready to mingle. Arinola Olowoporoku, Known as Arin, is a 29-year-old fashion designer, Artist and culture curator, who hails from Ekiti and loves piercing her body.

Tomboyish Roseline Omokhoa Afije, who preferred to be called, Liquorose, is a 26 year old dancer who has ventured into singing and acting, she is also a fashion entrepreneur. Peace Ogor, simply called, Peace, is a 26-year-old entrepreneur from Port Harcourt who went to a University outside Nigeria and has a clothing line. She said she is now single but still in love with her ex-boyfriend.

Beatrice Agba Nwaji, known as Beatrice, is a 28 year old Model, who is also a single mother of a five-year-old boy. She is a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt where she studied marketing. Tega whose full name is Tega Dominic, is a 29-year-old mother of one, Tega is a business owner who is from Calabar in Cross River State. She claimed to be married but still attracted to cute looking men.

Maria Chike Agueze, who wished to be addressed as, Maria, is a 29 year old Realtor. Her dad is from Imo state and mum from Austria. She was a former Air Hostess with Emirate Airline and currently based in Dubai, she is single and keeping an open mind in that regard. Tsakute Jonah, popularly known as, Saskay, is a 21 year old artist from Adamawa State, she loves reading book.  

Edo state born Anita Singh, popularly known as Nini, is a 27 year old economist and fashion entrepreneur born and raised in Auchi, Edo state. She currently lives in Abuja and in a serious relationship. The last of the ladies is, Princess Francis, better known as, Princess, she is a 30 year old Taxi driver who hails from Imo, Princess, was born and bred in Lagos but currently residing in Abuja.

After the introduction, Ebuka, the show anchor, bided the ladies goodbye. Thereafter Big Brother’s voice echoed and told them that their first task in the house is to identify two of the housemates who came in via wild card. According to him, if they are able to identify the two wild card candidates on Sunday, they will get evicted, but if they are unable to achieve the feat, the two candidates will continue playing the game and enjoy immunity from eviction.
