MainOne recruiting Nigerians to expand West African business

MainOne based in Nigeria, which was acquired for $320 million in April by Equinix Incorporated based in the United States, is recruiting 30 Nigerians in its Graduate Trainee Programme (GTP) to help expand its technology market.

MainOne pitches itself as the leading data centre and connectivity solutions provider in West Africa with presence in Nigeria, Ghana, and Côte d’Ivoire.

It provides reliable services to major telecom operators, internet service providers (ISPs), government agencies, small to large enterprises, and educational institutions.

Requirements to participate in the programme listed on its website say candidates

  • Must be graduates with a minimum second class upper degree or equivalent in electrical/electronic engineering or related discipline.
  • Must have completed the mandatory one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
  • Should have 0-3 years’ post NYSC work experience.
  • Should be able to demonstrate leadership qualities through extra-curricular activities.
  • Should possess relevant certification(s) such as CCNA, CCNP, ITIL and/or  relevant post-graduate degree as an advantage.
