Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman has picked up the Atalanta Player of the Season award.
With this feat, the 25-year-old became the first Nigerian player to win the prize in the history of the Serie A club.
Lookman had an outstanding debut campaign with Atalanta after joining the club last summer from RB Leipzig for €9.2million.

The winger scored 15 goals and provided eight assists in all competitions for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side, helping his club to a 6th-place finish in the Serie A league last season
His impressive displays also played a key role in La Dea’s qualification for the UEFA Europa League.
The Nigerian international en route to the award scored the highest number of votes, with Teun Koopmeiners and Marten de Roon coming second and third, respectively.
He joined his compatriots Victor Osimhen who picked up the same price for Serie A winner, Napoli and Kelechi Ihenacho who also won the Player of the Season at relegated Leicester City.
Lookman, however, had a torrid end to the season because of injuries but would look to improve on his last season’s performance when the new campaign begins in August.
