Lookman speaks after Atalanta beat Stuttgart 2-0 in UCL clash

Lookman has so far registered eight goals and five assists in 13 games across all competitions for Atalanta this season

Nigerian winger, Ademola Lookman has argued that his club, Atalanta deserved to beat Bundesliga side, Stuttgart in Wednesday night’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) clash.

He made this known while speaking with Uefa.com after his team’s crucial away victory in Germany.

La Dea defeated their hosts 2-0 to continue their impressive run of form this season. 

Lookman and Zaniolo scored both goals for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side during the European encounter.

Atalanta with the win, are now in the eight position on the UCL log table after garnering 8 points from four matches.

Speaking after the match, Lookman  said they can be happy with their performance in the game.

“We had a positive first half. We created dangerous moments in the game, so (the aim was to) just keep doing what we were doing.

“We knew the chances would come and we took them. We’re happy with the three points and we’ll keep going.” the 27-year-old said.
