Lookman scored a brace in the first half of the pulsating final between Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen before making it a hat trick in the second half

Super Eagles winger, Ademola Lookman, has described Atalanta’s 3-0 victory over newly crowned Bundesliga champions, Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final on Wednesday night as one of the best nights of his life.
The Atalanta forward scored a brace in the first half of the pulsating final before making it a hat trick in the second half to win the Italian side the first major trophy in their history.
The emphatic win ended Leverkusen’s incredible 51-game unbeaten run in style.
After the final whistle was blown, players and technical crew members of the Atlanta side ran to the pitch to lift the Nigerian afloat in a dramatic frenetic victory dance.
Speaking to TNT Sports after the Serie A club became the first Italian team to win the title, Lookman said he was lost for words.

He went on to say they were third time lucky, after winning a final at the third attempt this season.
Expressing his joy on the night, he said: “One of the best nights of my life.
“Amazing performance from the team, we did it, we did it, we did it! Not got much else to say but yeah fantastic.
“They do always say third time lucky, so yeah it is for us today [winning a final at the third attempt this season]. I’m just happy we won. We won today so yes very pleased.”
