Atalanta and Nigeria striker, Ademola Lookman has promised to do his best when he dons Super Eagles’ jersey at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.
The Serie A star made this known while expressing his desire to help the Nigerian team make a positive impact at the tournament.
According to the 26-year-old, who will be representing Nigeria in a major tournament for the first time, he will be bringing his “A game” to AFCON
Lookman represented England at the youth level but later switched allegiance to Nigeria at the senior level.

Speaking to the Super Eagles media recently, he said: “Just like everyone, I do my best for the team and bring my A-game to this tournament for Nigeria and the fans. We’ll see as a team where that takes us.”
Lookman also commented on the team’s ambition going into the competition.
“As a squad and and as a team, we have got a strong mindset and we are together, you know like the slogan let’s do it again, we are fighting to do it again.
“I think as a team like I said, we are together, we are behind each other. As individuals, we believe in ourselves and as a team, we believe in ourselves, that is the mindset,” he added.
