Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman, has compared his team’s goalless draw against Premier League opposition, Arsenal, to a game of chess.

The Gunners held the Serie A outfit to a 0-0 draw in a Champions League encounter played on Thursday night at the Gewiss Stadium.

The hosts had a great chance to win the match in the second half, but Mateo Retegui saw his penalty saved by Arsenal’s goalkeeper, David Raya.

The draw left Arsenal and Atalanta in the 16th and 17th positions respectively on the log table.

However, while reflecting on the match, Lookman said despite the disappointing draw, he and his teammates will take some positives out of the game and move on.

The Nigerian international went on to describe Arsenal as one of the top teams in Europe and hailed Atalanta for matching such a good team.

Speaking after the game, Lookman said, “We had a plan and we were unfortunate not to score. We will take the positives out of it and move.

“It was kind of a chess match.

“Obviously, they are one of the top teams and we matched them tonight.

“We’ll take the draw. Onto the next,”
