Lockdown: RRS chief counsels youth playing football on social distancing

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command, Mr Hakeem Odumosu, has cautioned some youths playing football at Ikosi Road, Ketu and Majidun, Ikorodu to be mindful of the social distancing to avoid coronavirus.

  He also advised them to imbibe the culture of regular hand-washing to stop the spread of COVID 19, while advising them to go back to their houses, emphasizing that the essence of the sit-at-home order was to minimize social interactions.

He, thereafter, ordered his officers after dispersing the youth to pick up about 16 tyres the youth used.

  Odumosu, with his team of RRS officers moved to different parts of the metropolis to enforce the sit-at-home order on Tuesday.   Some of the places visited included: Maryland, Ojota, Ketu, Mile 12, Owode – Onirin, Majidun, Ogolonto, Agric, Ikorodu and Ojodu – Berger, Magodo, Sango Old Toll Gate, Liverpool Roundabout e.t.c.
