Lobotka joined the Serie A club, Napoli from Celta Vigo in January 2020, his current deal with the Italian club will expire in June 2027

Former Chelsea striker, Gianfranco Zola has admitted that Napoli midfielder, Stanislav Lobotka was turned down by the Blues in the 2018-19 season when he was proposed to the west London club.
The Chelsea legend made this known as a pundit on Amazon Prime Italia on Wednesday night prior to Napoli’s Champions League round of 16 second-leg 3-0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Lobotka is one of the revelations in the title-chasing Napoli squad. He is also one of the midfielders responsible for the increase in the goals scored by Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen at the club.

Speaking about the impact of the Slovakia international in Napoli, Zola said: “I already knew Lobotka, because I saw a few of his games when he was proposed to Chelsea.
“He was a good player, but nowhere near what he has become at Napoli today,”
Lobotka’s current deal with Napoli will expire in June 2027. He joined the Serie A club from Celta Vigo in January 2020.
He initially struggled but has gone from strength to strength under Napoli manager, Luciano Spalletti.
