Heartbroken Linda Ikeji has revealed the identity of her son, Jayce, and the man who got her pregnant as Sholaye Jeremi. According to the top blogger, she met Jeremi in a restaurant sometime in 2015 and fell in love with him almost immediately.
But things went from bad to worse after she got pregnant for him when Jeremi was no longer getting in touch, as usual, she told her fans.
She said she struggled with the idea of going public to reveal the identity of her baby’s daddy whom she had vowed never to reveal in order to respect his wish of laying low.
“It was a whirlwind romance,” she said. “He was the funniest and the most romantic guy I’d met until that point, so it was easy to fall in love and I truly believed the feeling was mutual,” she said in an Instagram post.
But things would turn sour later when “just like that, it was over between us,” Linda said in an emotional post.
“I went from waking up every morning to love text messages from him to no more calls,” she wrote.
Linda said they tried getting back together sometime in 2016 but things did not work out and they kept going back and forth until 2017 when she became pregnant.
“By mid-2017, we were both single and we started seeing each other again quietly. Then I got pregnant. It wasn’t planned. It just happened, though we talked about having a child together two months before I got pregnant,” Linda said.
Linda said Jeremi had agreed to a traditional wedding and would go ahead to meet her family, but did not follow through with the plans.
“But after I fell pregnant, things became extremely weird between us …We went from talking about pregnancy and being okay with it …to literally not talking to each other,” she said.
The ex-model said she would still continue with her Self-Made project which takes her round secondary schools in Nigeria in order to explain herself to “these young girls who look up to me and feel disappointed that I got pregnant and had a baby out of wedlock.”
Linda denied asking people to abstain from sex saying she realized it may be difficult in this day and age. According to her, she told people not to have sex for money.
The story of Linda Ikeji’s pregnancy broke the internet in Nigeria this year when she revealed she was pregnant with a boy for an undisclosed man. There were speculations that she got pregnant for a married man, an accusation she vehemently denied, saying the married man she would have anything to do with has not yet been born.
Only a few people knew she got pregnant for an old flame.
