Libya head coach, Nasser Al-Hadiri has admitted that his team’s preparation for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Nigeria isn’t the best.

The Mediterranean Knights will face the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday, October 11.

They will then host the three-time African champions in Benina four days later.

According to reports emanating from Libya, the North African side will be without some of their key players due to injuries and suspensions.

Apart from this, some the team’s top players have opted out of the crucial encounter.

Speaking ahead of the game, Al-Hadiri said the unavailability of the top stars will made it difficult for him to establish a comprehensive tactical plan for the qualifiers.

He said, “We have not yet reached the required level of readiness to face a strong team like Nigeria.

“The team were not in good shape before I took over.

“The absence of several players in our first training sessions has made it difficult to establish a comprehensive tactical plan for the game.”
