Premier League outfit, Leicester City have dismissed Steve Cooper as their manager following their loss to Chelsea at the King Power Stadium.
The development was confirmed on Sunday in a statement released by the club.
The Foxes also announced that first-team coach Ben Dawson will take over training imminently.
“Men’s first team training will be overseen by first team coach Ben Dawson, supported by coaches Danny Alcock and Andy Hughes, as the club begins the process of appointing a new manager, which we hope to conclude as soon as possible,” the statement read.
Chelsea survived a late Leicester rally on Saturday to win 2-1 on Enzo Maresca’s return to the King Power Stadium, moving just a point behind second-placed Manchester City.

The visitors, finding their groove after the international break, hogged the ball from the kick-off and Nicolas Jackson gave them a deserved early lead.
But they failed to make the most of their superiority until 15 minutes from time, when Fernandez scored to make it 2-0, before surviving a nervy few minutes after Jordan Ayew pulled a goal back for Leicester.
With the result, Leicester City are now 16th in the Premier League after 12 games.
