Laycon accused DJ Neptune of refusing to pay his royalty, four years after they released ‘Nobody Icons remix’

Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality star and Nigerian rapper, Olamilekan Agbeleshebioba better known as Laycon, has called out popular disc jockey, Imohiosen Patrick aka DJ Neptune over unpaid royalties from their collaborative effort.
Taking to his X handle on Wednesday, the former BBNaija winner claimed that DJ Neptune failed to pay him for their collaborative effort ‘Nobody (Icons remix)’ four years after the song was released.
He went on to stress the need for artistes to adhere to agreements in the Nigerian music industry.

Speaking via his verified social media page, Laycon tweeted, “Abeg o, DJ Neptune how far my agreement and split for the ‘Nobody (Icons Remix)’ song though. Is it not still ready? Haba it’s been 4 years.”
After the tweet made the rounds online, it elicited mixed reactions among netizens who trooped to the comment section of the now-viral post.
However, DJ Neptune is yet to respond to the singer’s allegation.
‘Nobody Icons remix’, which also featured Joeboy, was released in 2020 and dedicated to fans of BBNaija show known as Icons.
