A new set of National Executive Officers that will pilot the affairs of the Old Students Association of Ajuwa Grammar School, Okeagbe Akoko in Akoko North West Local government area of Ondo state for the next two years has emerged recently.
The election was witnessed by elders in the association, delegates and observers from various sets as well as the school principal, Mrs Oladapo Elizabeth Folashade.
In the peacefully conducted election held at the school premises based on the delegate system, members of the association elected a 6-man executive officers.
The election saw the emergence of Barrister Olisa Collins Adekoya ’82 as Natiinal President while Mr. Tayo Ajakaye ’87 was elected as the National Secretary.
Also elected into the executive committee were Mr. Akande Emmanuel ’97 as Vice President (North), Mr.Ibitoye Isaac ’85, Vice President (South), Mrs. Akande Janet ’82 Assistant Secretary and Mr. Olupinla Joseph ’01, Treasurer
In his short acceptance speech, the new National President, Olisa expressed his appreciation to the founding fathers of the association and the outgoing Executive Committee for sustaining the course of development for the school.
He therefore emphasised the pivotal role that old students’ associations have played in the education sector of the state.
