Lagos Island Council presents uniforms, kits to students

Encomiums were poured on Lagos Island Council Sole Administrator, Nosiru Musa, for the implementation of “My Complete Students” project at the ZAPASS House Secretariat on Lagos Island.

The exercise fulfilled hispromise to provide uniforms, sandals, socks, bags, exercise books, mathematics sets, biros, and other educational materials to over 6,200 students in 11 primary and five secondary schools in the council.

The event was well attended by public school students and their parents.

Other attendees included All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains, TajudeenOlusi; former Secretary to the State Government, A. Aro-Lambo; A.G.O.Sadiq; Local Government Commissioners, TundeBalogun and YinkaAnilesere; Murphy Adetoro; and Wale Oshun.

Olusi recalled how public schools produced the most successful leaders in government and private sectors in the past and urged the beneficiaries of the materials to become great assets to their parents, schools, and the society at large.

“Education is the best legacy and parents/teachers should inculcate its advantage and benefits in the entire society for growth and development which will enhance good leadership in the future,” Musa added.

The students expressed appreciation to the council for assisting their parents with educational kits at this time of economic recession.
