Bosso assures Flying Eagles will bounce back despite 2-1 loss to Uganda at 2023 African Games

Bosso also said the Flying Eagles are “clear that there are two games ahead that could make so much difference

Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso has reacted to his team’s disappointing loss to Uganda at the ongoing 2023 African Games, saying he is optimistic the team will bounce back.

Bosso’s side began their campaign at the games on Thursday with a 2-1 defeat to Hippos of Uganda.

The Flying Eagles during the encounter  put up a shambolic display despite their favouritesBosso, however, remains unperturbed despite the setback and has promised a reaction from his players.

Speaking after the defeat, the Flying Eagles gaffer said: “We would have a positive meeting with the players. It is important that they express themselves.”

He added: “Logically, we would have liked to have started (the tournament) in another way, but the players are clear that there are two games ahead that could make so much difference.

“Anyone has the possibility of being a starter – am optimistic the players know what they stand to achieve and the task ahead.

“We talked about football with the group, about how we can improve the mistakes we had and thus move on with a positive mentality.”

The Flying Eagles after the loss will now face South Sudan in their second Group B game at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.
