A Lagos based group, Save Lagos Group(SLG) has told former Nigeria President, Olusegun Obasanjo that he lacks the moral justification to criticise President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan over the present situation of the country,stressing that the former leader laid a solid foundation for bad governance during his eight years tenure.
SLG expressed this view through its Convener,Comrade Adeniyi Alimi Sulaiman, in a signed statement which a copy was made available to newsmen in Lagos State.
Sulaiman stressed that President Obasanjo personally installed Yaradua/Jonathan administration on Nigerians in 2007 because of his selfish interest.
He said Obasanjo started the do or die politics in 2007 when he was bent on imposing Yaradua/Jonathan On the country.
His words:”Obasanjo should not forget in a hurry, how he used tactics to ensure that most of our Senate Presidents were sacked.”
“We want to urge former President Olusegun Obasanjo to see himself as the father of the nation and no issue should affect his sense of judgment on any issue affecting the progress, development and growth of the country, because his recent statement on President
Jonathan’s administration was a little bit faulty. if he had allowed those who want to be President to emerge freely, the story might be different. And he should see Jonathan government as divine which God used him to install”.
