Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has expressed shock over the death of its students, Fatima Abdullah, who allegedly committed suicide in Abuja on June 18.
A statement by the university’s director of public relations, AbdulRazaq Sanni, says it was deeply affected by the death of the 300 Level student of the Faculty of Law.
“KWASU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Muhammed Akanbi, on behalf of the governing council, management, staff and students of the university, extended heartfelt condolences to her family.
“We also encourage every student to explore all avenues in seeking solutions to inevitable difficulties of any dimensions rather than resorting to unsavory acts.
“We pray Almighty God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the painful loss,” the statement said.
According to report, the deceased, twho had been suffering depression, had made two previous suicide attempts before she finally took her life with a poisonous insecticide.
