Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has dissolved his cabinet one year after the constitution of the cabinet.\

A statement issued late Sunday by Rafiu Ajakaiye, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, said the dissolution took effect from December 31, 2020.

The cabinet was constituted on December 14, 2019 about seven months after the governor assumed office.

The dissolution did not however affect the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Mamman Sabah Jibril who the statement says retains his seat.

The governor, according to the statement thanked the affected cabinet members and wished them best in the future endeavours.

“His Excellency especially commends the honourable cabinet members for their contributions to the development of the state while also wishing them the best in their future endeavours,”  the statement said.

It said the governor also directed the former cabinet members to hand over to the most senior officers in their respective ministries.
