Klopp was frustrated by Conte’s tactics as Tottenham Hotspur sat back and deployed counter attacks throughout the match

Liverpool gaffer, Jurgen Klopp, has subtly taken a swipe at Tottenham Hotspur’s coach, Antonio Conte because of the negative style of play he adopted during their 1-1 draw over the weekend.
The result is a big blow to the title aspiration of The Reds, as they are now 3 points adrift of Manchester City with just three games to go.
Klopp’s men looked flat in attacks, with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson sending plenty of hopeful crosses into the penalty area with no success.

Despite Liverpools’ possession, it was Spurs who arguably had the better chances of the match, as they sat back and deployed counterattacks.
After a barren first half, Son Heung-min put the visitors ahead in the 56th minute before Luis Diaz equalized with 20 minutes left to play.
The host thereafter searched for a winner but the visitors remained resolute at the back and remained dangerous going forward.
After the game, Klopp said: “For all the praise for Tottenham, they won against City – the gameplay works for these games but they are still fifth and for everything they were time-wasting – it makes not easier, it’s smart but not easy.”
