Five English Premier League (EPL) Managers, who performed exceptionally in the month of September, have been nominated for the League’s Manager of the month award.

They are Manager of the current EPL champion, Man City’s Pep Guardiola, his predecessor and Liverpool manager, Jürgen Klopp, Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Brighton Albion’s Manager, Graham Potter and Aston Villa’s Coach, Dean Smith.

Klopp won 2 and drew 1 of his 3 games in September, his team is the only EPL team yet to lose a game this season (2021/2022).

Next is the manager of the blue half of Manchester, Guardiola, who drew 1 game and won 2 in September. He has also beaten Champions League Cup holder, Chelsea this season.

His former deputy, who is the currently coach of the Gunners, Arteta, won the 3 games he played in September, and defeated their arch-rival Spurs in the process. He also bounced back from three successive loses.

Brighton Albion went unbeaten under Potter in September, the Seagulls won 2 games and drew 1 in 3 games.  They are 6th on the log table, with just one point behind league leader, Liverpool.

Aston Villa’s Dean Smith defeated Man United for the first time in 12 years in one of his 2 wins this month, he however, lost a game to Liverpool. His team is 8th on the table with 10 points.

With the performances of these five managers in September, Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, is the strong favorite for the award, being the only manager to have won all his games in September.
