AC Milan defender, Simon Kjaer has said neutralising in-form Napoli attacker, Victor Osinmen in their upcoming UEFA Champions League (UCL) match would require collective action at the back.
The Danish defender made this known during AC Milan’s press conference before their UCL quarter-finals second-leg tie against Napoli on Tuesday night
The Rossoneri edged the first leg of the encounter at San Siro 1-0, with Kjaer starting in the central defence, but he will have a tougher job in the return fixture because Osimhen will be back in action.
The Nigerian international missed the away leg of the fixture due to an injury he picked up on international duty but he is now fit to start this time around.
Speaking on Osimhen’s return for Napoli. Kjaer said: “It’s not the work of one person but a team effort. Maximum respect, then we think about us.”

He was also asked how he would motivate his teammates for the game and he replied saying they already know it’s a once in a lifetime experience.
“By saying that these games here, you never know when you will play another one. They are evenings that will stay with you your whole life, for better or worse. That’s why we play football, for the emotions and the adrenaline. The other night in San Siro was one of the best experiences I’ve had in my career. Tomorrow will be a little different but it gives you an emotion that you can’t find anywhere else. That’s why we play football,” Kjaer explained.
He went on to say that it was one of his dreams as a child to play for AC Milan.
“A joy to be at Milan, one of my dreams as a kid. Then the path we took as a team with the coach…I had a dream, but I didn’t expect it to be like this,” he said.
