Kemi Adeosun committed a bigger crime, Pantami’s was merely a fault, says presidency

Garba Shehu

President Muhammadu Buhari’s senior special assistant on media, Garba Shehu, has said that there is no basis for comparing the crime of certificate forgery committed by former minister of finance, Kemi Adeosun, and what he described as a mere fault of the Communications Minister, Isa Ali Pantami.

Shehu, who appeared as a guest of Channels Television Programme, Politics Today, was reacting to the question of why in the case of Adeosun, the presidency did not come out to her defence, which later led to her resignation. But in the case of Pantami, the presidency said he remains a minister.

Shehu said: ” In the case you mentioned (Adeosun), it is a case of perfidy, criminality. In the second case, (Pantami), you are probing the inner recesses of his mind to know what he has said or what he is about to say so as to use that against him.”
