Popular Afrobeats singer, Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo, better known as Kcee, has reacted to plagiarism
allegation levelled against him by highlife star, Chinedu Okoli, aka Flavour.

TheNiche had earlier reported that Flavour recently aimed a dig at an unnamed artiste, whom he alleged was copying his musical style.

Speaking via his verified X page on Monday, the ‘Nabania’ crooner tweeted, “Copy copy akaria.”

Despite not mentioning Kcee’s name,
it didn’t take long for netizens to unravel whom he was talking about

Kcee, who after sighting the tweet also caught the shade, urged Flavour to choose his battles carefully as they are not on the same level.

He went on to warn him to stop trying to gatekeep Igbo cultural music, adding that he was in the music industry before him.

Taking to his X handle, Kcee wrote, “Bro, We are not on the same level. Pick your battles carefully.

“Stop trying to gatekeep Igbo culture. You’re not a Custodian.

“I’ve been in this game before you

“It belongs to all.

“You dont own this genre of music.

“My music celebrates our heritage, and I won’t apologize.

“In an ocean of things that matter. You’re like a needle.

“Get that right

“People recognize authenticity. I’ll continue celebrating our culture unapologetically. Spend your energy on success, not diminishing mine.”
