Nigerian singer and songwriter, Kingsley Okonkwo, better known as Kcee has finally reacted to a 2021 video in which Nigerian-French recording artiste, Bukola Elemide aka Asa, mocked him.
Asa had in an interview taunted Kcee, saying he treated a music competition he won over two decades ago as if it were a Grammy award.
She went on to call the ‘Limpopo’ crooner an “idiot” for saying she cried after losing the competition to him.
Asa said: “Kcee, that’s like a Grammy award for him, he is such an idiot. I beat Asa, she was crying. When did you see me cry?”.

Speaking about the comments in a recent chat with Goldmyne TV, Kcee
said he suspects Asa responded to what she heard from a third party because what she said shows she misunderstood him.
He also asserted that he loves Asa’s songs and that she is an inspiration to a lot of people.
He, however, added that he is unperturbed by her comment about him because ‘it adds nothing to my pocket’.
“I wish she heard what I said, maybe someone interpreted something else to her,” he said.
“If she heard me, she’ll understand she’s like an inspiration to a whole lot of people but trust me as you see me, I’m a freaking legend.
“I have a right to say whatever I want to say. I still love her songs. If she loves me or hates me, it adds nothing to my pocket.”
Kcee was formerly in the Hip Hop duo group called Kc Presh. He currently has a record deal with Five Star Music.
