Ace Nigerian thespian, Kate Henshaw, has slammed Anambra State government for assaulting Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere better known as Odumeje during the demolition of his church in Onitsha, Anambra State.
A video of Odumeje being manhandled by the Anambra State task force, who had gone to demolish his church made the rounds on social media on Thursday, July 7.
The pastor was seen in the now-viral clip, being pushed and beaten by the government official before he was later whisked away.

Reacting to the video via a post on her Twitter page, Kate Henshaw wondered why the men who went to carry out the demolition started beating the pastor.
She wrote: “Why must there always be an assault on the person. Is there no decorum? When they are not animals.”
Odumeje’s church, Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, located at Fegge-Onitsha was marked for demolition in April by the Anambra State Physical Planning Board (ANSPPB).
According to the Anambra State Government, Odumeje’s church blocked water flow at the Nwangele-Bida drainage.
The Press Secretary to the governor, Christian Aburime, while explaining what transpired, said the task force was implementing a notice that the owners of the illegal structures had ignored.
He made the clarification in a press statement, in which he said the quit order served on the owners of the structures, expired in April.
The statement read: “Following the expiration of the notice served on developers and building owners who built several illegal structures along the waterway in Fegge and environs within Onitsha, since April 2022, more than two months ago, Anambra state government has commenced demolition of such illegal structures.
“The exercise which is being carried out by a joint government task force, commenced from Bida Road by Modebe Avenue, Fegge Onitsha.
“The affected buildings include Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance Ministries, shops, and other perimeter fences”
