Roma and Dutch defender, Rick Karsdorp, has decided to boycott training following a bust-up with his coach, Jose Mourinho, who recently accused him of ‘betraying’ his teammates.
Mourinho had criticised Karsdorp’s attitude after Roma played out a 1-1 draw with fellow Serie A side, Sassuolo earlier this month.
The ex-Chelsea and Manchester United manager refused to name Karsdorp as the player at the time, but went on to describe his attitude during the game as unacceptable.
He said, “the efforts of the team were betrayed by the attitude of one unprofessional player.”

Mourinho also made it clear that he wants Roma to offload Karsdorp in the January transfer window.
“I had 16 players on the field tonight and I liked the attitude of 15 of them.
‘I told the other that he had this attitude today only and not always. Now we want to close this period of the season with three points.
‘In January, he needs to find himself another club.’ he added,
Roma’s players who were not invited by their countries for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar are due to travel to Japan for a winter training camp but Karsdorp was not at training on Sunday.
It is believed the player has already travelled back to the Netherlands with his family.
Karsdorp was signed by Roma on a five-year deal for a fee of €14 million with various performance-related clauses worth up to €5 million in additional payments in 2017.
With the transfer, the Dutch defender became Feyenoord’s most expensive outgoing player in history.
