Beautiful actress, Rahama Sadau, has been suspended from featuring in Hausa movies, also known as Kannywood, after showing off her back in a dinner gown she wore on November 1.

According to a statement by the Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN), an umbrella body for the Hausa movie industry, Sadau suspension was indefinite.

But the actress said she was not bothered by the backlash that followed her dressing.

“Salam, it’s sad and unfortunate waking up to series of unexpected messages, tags & trends over the harmless pictures i posted. As a human, I laughed at some, frowned against many & disapproved most,” Sadau said.

But MOPPAN statement signed by the National PRO, Al-Amin Ciroma, said Sadau was not likely to be reabsorbed into the Hausa movie industry.

“It could be recalled that on October 2, 2016, the northern filmmakers had suspended the embattled Sadau, in violation of the association’s rules and regulations for immoral behaviour due to an ‘on screen hug’ with a certain Hip Hop star classic.

“In this circumstances, MOPPAN is reiterating its initial stand on Rahama Sadau and calling on all other Kannywood guilds and associations to ensure compliance.”
