Kamsiyochukwu, UTME best candidate, gets eight A1 in WAEC

Kamsiyochukwu Nkechinyere Umeh, a student of Deeper Life High School, who had the highest score of 360 in the 2023 UTME, has cleared all her papers in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) with 8 A1 and a B2.
The 16-year-old student scored A1 in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Further Mathematics, Economics, Civic Education, Computer Studies and Dyeing and Bleaching, and a B2 in Physics.

She gained nationwide recognition for being the top scorer in the 2023 UTME with a cumulative mark of 360.
In her UTME, She scored 99 in Chemistry, 98 in Mathematics, 97 in Physics, and 66 in English.
The Anambra State indigene received several awards including a scholarship from the state government.
Kamsiyochukwu applied to the University of Lagos, to study Chemical Engineering.
Announcing the scholarship in July, Anambra State governor, Chukwuma Soludo’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, said the governor had congratulated her for making the state proud with her exceptional performance.
The statement read: “In further celebration of Miss Umeh’s feat, Governor Soludo has announced a well-deserved scholarship for her to study any course of her choice at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University in Anambra State.
“The scholarship will not only serve as a token of the state government’s appreciation for her hard work but also provide her with the opportunity to pursue her dreams and contribute to the development of the state in the future.”
