The terrorists released the Kadpoly lecturer on Tuesday evening May 17 but held on to her daughter and driver.
A forceful marriage is what the abductors of the daughter of a Kaduna Polytechnic lecturer are threatening unless they are paid N30m in ransom with four motorcycles.
The terrorists had abducted the Kadpoly lecturer, Dr Rahmatu Abarshi along with her daughter, Ameera, and the driver in Kaduna, but released the mother after almost a month. They, however, held the daughter unless N30m and four motorcycles are delivered to them otherwise they would convert Amira to one of their wives, according to a revelation by Aliko Dangote’s niece, Aziza Dangote Waziri.
The Kadpoly lecturer, who was the former Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, was abducted alongside her daughter Amira, and the driver on Kachia-Kaduna Road while returning from a trip on Friday, April 22.

Confirming the latest development on Instagram, Aliko Dangote’s niece, Aziza Dangote Waziri, said the abductors kept Ameera with their wives.
“Her mother was released on the 18th of May but the kidnappers have asked Amira to stay behind. They took her to where their wives are and gave them some time to pay the ransom or they marry her.” Aziza said.
“As of 20th May, they are requesting for N30m and four motorcycles as soon as possible,” Aziza added.
