Juventus are seventh on the Serie A table after ten games, and they sit 13 points adrift of league leaders, AC Milan after a shocking 2-1 home defeat to Sassuolo.

The away side opened the scoring, in a match that produced its first goal in the 44th minute, after Davide Frattesi scored from an assist from Gregoire Defrel, to put Sassuolo 1-0 up in the first half.

The home side equalized in the 74th minute when Weston McKennie met a free-kick swung in by Paulo Dybala with his head to equalize for Juventus.

The game became stretched after Juventus equalizer, with both teams going for each other’s jugular in a bid to earn the three points at stake.

The final goal eventually came, with virtually the last kick of the ball deep into extra time, when Maxime Lopez, finished off a killer pass from Domenico Berardi, to end the game 2-1 in favor of Sassuolo.

The Turin club have now lost 3 games in 10 matches and are drifting away from the two Milan clubs and Napoli, who occupy the first three positions in the league.

Although it is still early in the season, the once-dominant champion is at the risk of not qualifying in Europe and further drifting away in the league, if they do not improve on their start to the season.
