Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, the President of Court of Appeal, has recused herself from Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) had requested that Bulkachuwa recuse herself from the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
The PDP also said they wanted her out because of her alleged ties with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
She is married to Mohammed Bulkachuwa who controversially replaced Usman Tuggar who had earlier won the APC primaries for Bauchi North Senatorial District.
Following the replacement, Mr Bulkachuwa won the seat at the elections conducted in February.
Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the PDP also went to court to ask that Bulkachuwa recuses self from the election tribunal.
The matter came up today.
