An aspirant for the Ondo State House of Rep, JOT has withdrawn from the race to focus on consisting for House of Assembly in 2023

One of the aspirants contesting for the House of Representatives bye- election slated for February 26, under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), Jimoh Oluwatosin, popularly known as JOT has withdrawn from the race.
The Independent National Electoral Commision (INEC) is to conduct the by-election following the death of the Federal Lawmaker representing Akure South/Akure North federal constituency, Hon. Isaac Omolafe Adedayo, also known as Expensive.
JOT said his decision to withdraw from the race followed extensive consultation with the governor of the state Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, critical stakeholders, party stalwarts and members of the All Progressives Congress in Akure South.

In a statement made available and signed by him, JOT said he was withdrawing from the House of Reps race to focus on contesting for the Ondo State House of Assembly seat in 2023.
“After a deep thought and extensive consultations, i have decided to formally declare my intention to represent the good people of Akure South Constituency 1 at the House of Assembly,” he said.
“My focus in politics will be to ensure that government institutions work and for our teeming communities to benefit from social services irrespective of class or social status.”
He lauded the efforts of his campaign team and media team for their unalloyed support, saying the job to take our state constituency is a task that must be done.
‘I appeal to you that the will of God will prevail now and in the future” he added
