Jokes in my new CD are 100% original – Elder O

Ace comedian, Elder O, has said that all the jokes in his second comedy CD titled Laugh ‘N Get Healed Season II are originally his.

“Every show I anchored, especially my every Friday and Sunday shows at O’jez, National Stadium, Surulere Lagos, I ensure I sample a new joke and watch the reaction of the crowd. If they warm up to the joke, I note it down and I never performed that joke again. That was how I selected all the jokes in Laugh ‘N Get Healed Season II. So I can assure you that they are all fresh and explosive jokes owned 100 per cent by no other person than Elder O,” he stated.

Just released, the CD is said to have sold over 100,000 copies already. The comedian, who could not hide his excitement, attributed this feat to the quality of jokes and production in the second outing.

“The recording and mastering of Laugh ‘N Get Healed Season II is much better than the first season and we were able to achieve over an hour of quality comedy for every member of the family,” he said. “It’s not the kind of CD you will slot in and tell kids to go to their rooms, as the content is family-friendly. The jokes are very clean (no vulgar jokes) and original.”

Unlike the first outing, Laugh ‘N Get Healed Season II has a soundtrack and advertisement among other things. “We planned the release to coincide with the Yuletide because this is the kind of comedy that families must listen to during the holidays,” the comedian that handles weekend shows for celebrity restaurant, O’jez’, said.

He is full of appreciation to God and all his fans that have supported his career for over five years now.

“I thank God for taking us where we are so far despite the enemy’s plans to derail us both in our family lives and career. I also thank my fans for standing by me throughout my travails when I lost my wife late last year. The little baby my lovely wife left behind is growing by the day and God is giving me the strength to play the role of a nursing father. I also thank Chief Joseph Odobeatu, owner of O’jez, for the support. I can’t thank him enough as well as the media that have supported all Nigerian artistes thus far,” he stated.
