In a post on his Instagram page when they marked their 5th wedding anniversary, Nigerian songwriter, rapper and TV producer, Abdulrasheed Bello, popularly known as JJC Skillz, sent a heart warming message to his wife, Funke Akindele, the talented actress and movie producer, who most Nigerians will identify with her TV series Jenifa’s Diary.
The accomplished rapper took to social media to trace their journey so far, starting from how they met, to when they became close and when they first kissed, up to when they became husband and wife. He went further to express his desire to continue the marital bliss, even as he expressed his fear of ever losing her.
“When I saw you, I was afraid to meet you. When I met you, I was afraid to kiss you. When I kissed you, I was afraid to love you. Now that I love you, I am afraid to lose you,” he wrote.
Apparently in a bid to reassure her husband, she responded on her own Instagram page, telling him he has nothing to fear. She said they have achieved a lot and will still achieve more together and offered prayers for him, herself, their business, marriage and children.
“We will never be put to shame in Jesus Name. Our names will open more international doors. The devil will never find a place in our home. Oluwa a da awon omo wa si (God will protect our children). Scene One production is here to stay for good,” she wrote.
Followers of the entertainment industry in Nigeria will remember that the two celebrities met and later became friends and eventually got married five years ago. The union has since produced kids and it is waxing stronger.
The talented actress was initially married to Kehinde Oloyede in May 2012, but the marriage lasted just a little over a year before crashing in 2013, with the duo citing irreconcilable differences.
She later met her current husband, JJC Skillz, who has since proven to be the bone of her bone and the flesh of her flesh.
