A former governorship candidate in Lagos State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Jimi Agbaje, has lost his son, Bunmi.
Bunmi, who was resident in Canada, is said to have died from cardiac arrest.
He is survived by his parents and two younger siblings.

Mr Agbaje is the Managing Director of JayKay Pharmacy and has extensive interests and investments in the maritime sector.
In 2014, he gave the Lagos State governorship position another shot by picking up the PDP expression of interest and nomination form, but he lost in the 2015 election to Akinwunmi Ambode.
In October 2018, Agbaje defeated Adedeji Doherty to again secure the PDP’s ticket to run for the office of the governor of Lagos State in the March 2, 2019 election which he lost to Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
