Jim Iyke also said his mother’s death broke him but helped him to realise he was better a father than a husband

Popular Nollywood actor, James Ikechukwu Esomugha, better known as Jim Iyke has finally opened up on what his marital and parenting experiences were like.
He spoke about this during a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, where he also explained how losing his mum changed him and caused him to lose focus for many years.
The movie star went on to disclose that he successfully kept his failed marriages and three children from his unions out of the public glare.
He, however, admitted that he was responsible for the failure of his previous two marriages, saying he would not blame it on anyone but himself.

Jim Iyke further said after losing his mum who was his best friend, he decided to pour all his love and attention on his first son by acting like a proper stay at home dad.
He also said he and his last wife decided to part ways after she realised he was no longer the man she married, but added that they remained good friends after their separation.
Speaking more about how losing his mum broke him during the chat, he claimed the experience helped him to realise he was better off as a father than a husband.
He said: “I was an excellent father and a woeful husband.”
