Brazil striker, Gabriel Jesus, has taken to social media to update Arsenal fans on his recovery from the knee surgery he underwent after suffering an injury at the World Cup in Qatar.

The Gunners forward posted some pictures showing his progress as he toils in Arsenal’s gym to return to full fitness as soon as possible.

Jesus limped off for Brazil in their dead-rubber group stage tie with Cameroon at the start of this month with suspected medial ligament damage.

He then returned to the Emirates to be assessed by Arsenal, after which the player and club were left with no other option than surgery.

The decision left supporters guessing and agitated given the Brazilian’s contribution to the club’s progress so far and the fact that there was no exact timeframe offered for his return to action.

However, Jesus, who is an avid social media user, took to social media recently to douse the tension after posting photographs of his progress across his channels.

His latest post showed him balancing solely on his right leg – his injured one – while his left is held at a right-angle.

He went on to caption the photos ‘Working’ before following it up with two motivational emojis.

Despite the assurance, the pictures do little to notify fans of when they might expect Jesus to return to action, as there have been conflicting reports over a timeframe over the all-important return date.

Meanwhile, an initial photograph of him on crutches at the club’s London Colney training ground was followed by a Christmas Day snap of him surrounded by his family in front of a tree – though still donning the dreaded leg brace.

It had been reported that he might be fit again by the end of January, with fears upon him going under the knife that he would not be seen again until March.

In Jesus’ absence, however, Arsenal came from behind to beat local rivals, West Ham on Boxing Day to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to 7 points.
