Iyabo Ojo blames rising insecurity in Nigeria on economic ‘hardship’

Iyabo Ojo, however, prayed that God will grant the government the wisdom to urgently do the right thing before it is too

Popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has traced the root cause of the rising insecurity across Nigeria to economic “hardship”.

According to the actress, hardship brings about acute depression, insomnia, and drug intake, which ultimately lead to insecurity, irrational behaviour, and poor mental health in society.

Speaking via her Instagram page on Friday, the mother of two, noted that the kind of responses she gets on direct messages (DM) is a testimonial to the facts she highlighted.

She went on to say, in order to keep her sanity intact, she decided to stop reading her DM.

Iyabo Ojo wrote: “Hardship, causing acute depression, insomnia, an increase in drug intake, which is amounting to the huge volume of insecurity, irrational behaviour, and mental health in our society

“My DM is a testimonial to these facts. Henceforth, I have to stop reading my DM’s to protect my sanity. May God grant our government the wisdom to do right by their people before it is too late.”
