Everton and Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has revealed that he wants his former club, Arsenal to lift the English Premier League (EPL) trophy this season.

Iwobi said so while speaking on “The Beautiful Game” podcast, where he said he is backing the north London side to win the league this season ahead of league champions, Manchester City.

The Nigerian international, who said that it is only fair for the Gunners to win given what they have done this season, also disclosed that his former Arsenal team-mate Reiss Nelson was very funny in training.

Asked if he believes Arsenal will win the title ahead of Man City, Iwobi said: ‘Yeah, I believe so. And I want them to, to be fair.”

He then said Nelson, who is an Arsenal academy graduate like him, has been the most impactful substitute at Arsenal his season.

“He [Nelson] is another Arsenal product.

“He’s another one who is a joke in training. With him, he just has that raw ability. I have to give it to him because he has to be patient. But every time he’s come on to play, he has delivered. I think he’s been the most impactful sub at Arsenal this season.” Iwobi added.
