Everton midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has thanked Toffees’ fans for their support despite his error during Monday night’s thrilling 2-2 draw against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

The Nigerian international gave the ball away in the middle of the field and it led to Leicester City’s second goal.

Everton had opened the scoring in the 15th minute after Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored from the penalty spot, but the hosts replied with two goals from Caglar Soyuncu and Vardy in the 22nd and 33rd minutes respectively.

Iwobi, however, atoned for his error when he guided a half volley past Leicester City goalkeeper, Daniel Iversen on 53 minutes after being left unmarked at the far post to make it 2-2.
