IPOD: MASSOB objects sit at home order

On the heels of the May 30, 2017 sit at home order proposed by the Indegenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to mark the 17th year of the struggle of Biafra, the Movement for the Actualization for the Sovereignty of Biafra (MASSOB) has criticized the arrangement, saying it was not part of the arrangement.

The MASSOB BIM Zonal Information Director, Abia Central, Anselam Ogbonna, stated in Umuahia that those calling for sit at home on May 30, 2017 are lacking the true knowledge of what they are saying, adding that no country ever celebrated its independence anniversary through sit at home order.

He further highlighted the programme for the one-week event as put by the MASSOB zonal leader in Abia Central, Mr. Felix Ibegbulam Ezekwem, to mark the 17th anniversary to include May 22, 2017 – All roads leads to Aba for new Biafra celebration, 23rd May 2017 – Zonal celebration in Umuahia, 24th May 2017 – Regional celebration in the regions, 25th May 2017 – Freedom fighter peace match within Isiala Ngwa and Umuahia, 26th May 2017 – Freedom fighters security parade; 27th May 2017 – Freedom fighters visits and entertainments, 28th May 2017 -Thanksgiving church service all over the churches in the zone, 29th May 2017 – The zones preparation for the inter zonal football match, 30th May 2017 – Inter zonal football match and freedom fighters dance between Abia central zone and Abia North zone in Umuahia

MASSOB BIM enjoins all Biafrans and the media to join and support to make the anniversary a success.
